This is a product we love! The classic Vermont weather instruments are high quality, functional and beautiful at the same time. They make a variety of weather gauges including rain gauges to measure accurate rain fall in your backyard or garden, thermometers in original tube styles to dial face wall or post mounts, and a hygrometer to let you know the humidity level in your area.

While there are digital and wireless ways to measure the weather, there is just something comforting in the old fashioned look of the Vermont line. We like dials, and the clean lines of each piece.

When you look at these, take care to pay close attention to the sizes if you are not already familiar with the products. They can be a lot bigger in person than the photo shows! Some of the wall or post thermometers are over sized, and id they are dial instead of tube, the dial units can come in large face. The tubes can be quite long or you can select a conventional, standard small size. The big sizes are great for reading from a distance and you have more options as far as where you can mount them, You don’t have to put them right up against a home to be able to read them, as well as the temperature of your house will not mess up the temperature displayed by  a thermometer.

They say that it is all in the details. This lovely, small copper leaf rain gauge proves just that point. While rain gauges are handy instruments any gardener would love to have, they can be beautiful as well as functional.
